"WHEN LIFE COMES IN" CHERYL RIDDLE

In the beginning, we all start out much the same,
We think we have a good idea, of how things should be.
But then life comes in, and takes us down a notch or two;
But that is exactly God's will for you and me...

God cannot use the heart, that's never been broken,
He cannot save the soul, that has no inquity or sin,
He cannot hear the prayer, that has never been prayed...
Oh how we need our Lord when life comes in!

It's easy to put on a real nice suit, and come into the house of God,
And we smile for every sister, and brother,
But then when Monday comes, and life gets in the way,
Do we still trust the Lord, and have something left for others?

Oh friend, have you ever, thrown your hands up in the air
And told the Lord.. "I surrender it all to You"...
But then life comes in, and troubles come along,
And the next thing that you know, You say, Father, what do I do?
