Beware Of Speculation

There was a dog out where I live named Odie. A little, yellow datsun/tippet/chijuajua mix. He was kind of the "neighborhood dog".  That's what we though, anyway.

We didn't eve know he had a home.

One day, we went walking, and noticed him looking very EMACIATED...so we "took him in to fatten him up".

We even have video of playing with him when he was not even ours, at Christmas.
The people found out we had him, after several weeks, (that's how attentive they were to his doings) To make a long story short, the people wouldn't let us have him.

Then, once they got 7 dogs and couldn't keep up, they gave him to us.

He stays in the house most of the time, but like many other dogs where we live, we hav been known to let him go do his business without a leash.  He has had no history of bad behavior that we are aware of.

Most of the time, he is on a leash... yea, even a harness... even though he's small.

Today, the police got called on me.. someone (instead of calling the managers) called 911 on my dog.  He apparently was barking at another dog that was owned by people who had their dog on a leash in their yard.

I could SPECULATE all day long, but I DO NOT REALLY KNOW... AND NO ONE IS ABOUT TELL ME.

And what would knowing help anything?

Knowing could cause HATE.

But, so could SPECULATING.

My friend, if there have been problems caused you by other people, we need to remember two things:

1)  We might just be in the wrong, even if we don't see it that way.

2)  We need to PUT OFF speculating!  Beware of it!  If can lead to HATE and FEAR and more problems.

This is true in and out of the church house.

You might be 99.9% sure.  You may even feel 100% sure.

But you might be wrong, too.

Someone that's afraid of doing what they did as an unsaved person, should be encouraged that they would never do it again.  And now, they know they would never do it again.
Hopping over to the side of fear robs you and them.
